A Guide to Voting Access

Lyft Voting Access Partner Toolkit

The process of creating a deck for our partners really started by looking at the core problems our team was attempting to solve. Our partners were looking for an easy-to-use set of assets, that could speak to their unique audiences, and allow them to deliver a clear and concise message that aligned with their brand without misusing ours.

Our team created a toolkit that included how-to guides for ready-made assets that could be used across all social channels. We embedded quick links and brand folders with everything our partners could need to recreate the post and copy options just in case they needed to know what to say and opportunities for partners who wanted, to design their content in-house while staying aligned with our campaign.

ILLUSTRATIONS

To bring this campaign to life, we created a series of 4 hero illustrations, broken down into 40+ still and animations, that could be used for any situation.

A Deck for Drawers

The Macys Undies Deck

The Macys Underwear project was originally a co-brand project that was going to live as branded content on a fashion channel. The target audience was focused at women who purchase underwear for their male partners, and the ask was to make underwear interesting without showing people wearing the underwear or in the image but still including a human touch. Though the target audience and the channel changed to be more male skewed, the basic idea remained intact leading to a wonderfully fun shoot that was amazing to art direct and a great approach based on the superstitions around sports and the objects we hold sacred.

The Polo Deck - Ralph Lauren

When Ralph Lauren approached Vox about bringing their look out of the office and into the street we were ready to take on the task. We worked hard to think of an angle that would feel innovative for the brand while still living in the world they created, so when our team landed on a street style guide it felt like the perfect intersection for the polo to call home. We created three categories of the way we would break down the styling and then looked for the creative team to bring this to life.

Calling in favors from an incredible diverse team of visual designers, we crafted a story around the uniqueness of their style while elevating the band and showing some love to the city of New York. This deck is a representation of the intersection we found ourselves at and what type of work we hoped would fall out of it.

A Packing Deck - Stubhub

One thing I've learned being a creative, is that not all projects make it. Even if the deck is spectacular, the idea is solid and the design is sound, sometimes it's just not meant to be. This packing guide turned out to be one of those projects. A fun concept about getting to the big game that didn't quite make it there in the end. The information has been redacted but I wanted to share with you one of the first decks I created for Vox that was truly a fun concept to suss out.

A Deck To Wake You Up - Starbucks

Coffee. I don't drink it but I love the smell of it, and with that in mind I sought to create a deck that would wake up the Starbucks team as much as a cup of their famous blend. When we were told about the amazing new blonde espresso, the Vox team decided to build a deck that would speak to our five senses and invite viewers to spice up their routines with a new take on an old classic.

Gifs were created and embedded throughout the deck to continue engagement, convey animations styles, layouts and copy placement.

A Drinkers Deck - Jameson

Jameson was one of those fun brands that wanted to call attention to the amazing local bars across the country in a way that shined the light on all that they do on a daily basis to give guest the best quality, experience and drinks out there. For St. Patricks day they decided to partner with VOX Creative and run bar guides, highlighting some of these establishments. What unfolded was a seven series guide that truly elevated the experience of drinking Jameson, and was one hell of a fun project to shoot.
